dc.description.abstractDuring 2016–2018 experimental campaigns, the plasma magnetic control architecture of the EAST tokamak was revised in order to achieve improved performances, with the final aim of feedback control of alternative divertor configurations (i.e. with multiple X-points). This paper reports on the results obtained with the Multi-Input–Multi-Output (MIMO) plasma shape controller tested during the last experimental campaign, which prompted a considerable improvement of the control performances. Simulation results are also discussed.it
