Issue Date: | 2022 | Abstract: | This paper presents an alternative architecture for a plasma Vertical Stabilization system, which is based on Extremum Seeking (ES) algorithm. The proposed solution relies on a bounded version of this algorithm, which is extended with an event-based gain adaption mechanism, in order to improve the overall performance when a switching power supply feeds the control circuit. To show the effectiveness of the proposed architecture, the case study of the ITER tokamak is considered. |
