Abstract:
In Europe, the vineyards cover about 3 million ha, and it produces 62.9% of the global wine representing an important sector in the European economy. Sustainability is playing a key role in viticulture and thanks to the development of new technologies based on sensors and measurements is possible to monitor environmental conditions in order to improve management efficiency in terms of quality and production. This review presents a brief state of the art of precision viticulture technologies, focusing on monitoring tools for vineyard microclimate, and vine grape performances.
