dc.description.abstract | The Literariness of Travel : Contemporary Italian Paths · Through analysing the relationship between ‘real’ travel and travel writing in some contemporary Italian authors – mainly Ennio Flaiano and the collective Wu Ming – this article reflects on the modifications of this relationship and on the definition of ‘travel literature’ as a literary genre tout court, which is not based on a close and unidirectional direct dependence on the real journey. Travel writing shows to be a much larger corpus, which influences and is influenced by other dynamic writings and by other literary genres. It goes beyond the strictly travel-related dimension of the odeporic literature and is generated in the literary modalities employed by the travellers when they turn into writers. | it |
