Title: Metodologie sperimentali di ottimizzazione dei processi di gassificazione di biomasse
Authors: Moretti, Paolo
Keywords: Metodo Nimbus;AGR/09
Issue Date: 23-May-2008
Publisher: Università degli studi della Tuscia - Viterbo
Series/Report no.: Tesi di dottorato di ricerca. 19. ciclo
Abstract:
This Publication illustrates the Experimental Methodologies used mostly to
optimize processes, such as:
- Factorial Plans Methodology;
- Robust Design, due to G. Taguchi, finalized to optimize processes and
designs by defining the Signal to Noise ratio (S/N);
- Response Surface Methods, also applied in Dual Response Systems
(DRS) problems characterized by the dual Target of optimizing both
Medium Response and Variability.
Gasification of Biomass Residues is an important Energy source both for
economical and environmental reasons.
It’s illustrated a Gasification Multireactor plant designed and built in
Gallese, a little town close to Viterbo, whose Patent belongs to Dr. Alessandro
Mariani, a Mechanical Engineer, and Angelo Mariani.
The aim of this Publication is elaborating an Optimizing Experimental
Strategy of Gasification Multireactor’s process, treated as a (DRS).
NIMBUS software, freely available on the web at
http://www.nimbus.mit.jyu.fi is the algorithm used to get the optimal parameters’
values.
