Abstract
This paper examines how the Great War is being remembered on the World Wide Web during its centenary. It also sketches the characteristics of both horizontal and vertical complexity of this vast landscape, together with the strategies and communication models adopted. Also present is an analysis of the transformation of the digital archive paradigm, from a closed information container to a dynamic and open node of a larger network. This transformation in this specific case is shown in the creation of narrative paths of both public and personal memory.
