Abstract
Second Life is probably the best known on-line virtual world. After a short introduction on its history and nature, the paper discusses the architectural and cultural features of 'urban' environments in Second Life. Special attention is devoted to literary-inspired urban simulations and to 'physically impossible' architectures.
