Abstract
The essay aims to investigate the relationship between populism and the spatial morphology of the Network Society, analysing the role that territory and networks-both as a content of political communication than as a setting for its action-have had in the campaign strategies of Matteo Salvini and Luigi Di Maio. The ability of the two populist leaders to effectively occupy the connected spaces of media and territory, using social networks-and specifically Facebook-as strategic hub for their electoral campaign, is a key element to understand their recent political success.
