Abstract
Doctoral research has been developed with the focus on the education and training in
agriculture, which has always been considered a sector with a high rate of accidents.
Methodology was developed through a pilot model named “Agriform” and defines the
main goal, which is to create the innovative models regarding the specific training in
agriculture. Research work and pilot project included 6000 users having as a result a
new technical and scientific approach to the subject of safety at work in agriculture.
This model has been developed and validated by Cefap (Center for permanent
agricultural training and education).
Topics and protocols were analyzed considering two macro-areas: chemical risk and
risks regarding use of agricultural machinery. However, this model explored topics
currently not regulated such as social and didactic farms and a safety management
systems of the large – size animals.
In conclusion this study aims to realize technological and knowledge transfer in the
case of agricultural farms that has allowed not just an increase of awareness but also
an objective increase of the level of safety.
