Abstract
Dyslexia is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects around 20% of the population in the world. Different cognitive abilities such as reading, spelling, attention, memory and phonological awareness are negatively impacted by it. These difficulties can significantly influence the learning path of the students and can, in turn, lower their self-esteem or induce depression. Therefore, support methodologies are of utmost importance to help dyslexic students in ameliorating their difficulties. Today, it is possible to leverage two promising technologies that can help in this task, that is, Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality. In light of this, we have designed VRAIlexia, a framework in which these two methodologies are used to support dyslexic students with personalized digital tools and learning strategies that can ameliorate the difficulties encountered during their learning path.
