Abstract
The discussion on artificial intelligence in the field of civil procedural law
already started a few decades ago. Meanwhile, we have gone from human-programmed
AI to do things using ‘if then’ logic to AI capable of learning from experience.
After a relatively long apprenticeship through a training algorithm, the
machinery is no longer dependent on the instructions of a human and is capable
of predicting future needs and can adopt new skills. This trend also affects the
law, from inside and the judges decisions.
