Abstract
This essay aims to reconstruct the experience of the Socialist Revolutionaries group ‒ little documented in historiography ‒ which emerged clandestinely in Rome during the war years. Although short-lived, the group’s political profile is significant, led by well-educated young intellectuals who had grown up in fascist institutions and independently embraced socialism and European federalism. This group established a relationship of profound human and political harmony with Eugenio Colorni and made a highly original contribution to the PSIUP and Italian federalism
