Abstract
The main purpose of following works, is the improvement of a prototype of a
self-moving machine, generally equipped with four traction – wheels for the hazelnuts
and fruit-shell mechanized harvesting.
Our prime aim is the research of new technologies introducing and adjusting
qualified solutions for the hazelnuts harvesting, in order to grant high standards of
quality for the foreign, national and local country, so we can increase the value of the
typical, also producing processing, in the agriculture areas in Viterbo. To that end we
examined the current situation of mechanization in the farms of hazelnuts cultivation
and the different methods of mechanized harvesting and the several levels of present
technology.
Today the sector of hazelnuts cultivation, is recovering but it still suffering the
competition of foreign agricultural products (Turkey), we should improve it with new
cultivation techniques and low production cost.
These solution allow to:
cut down the harvest cost,
guarantee the quality of hazelnuts harvesting, guarantee the best product preservation (dehydratation) with modern
techniques and
reduce the effect on the environment and avoid the earth subsidence and
release of dust.
To that end we have realized a new model of harvesting machine, it is just a prototype,
so that we can introduce it in the agricultural machine market.
