New genera and species of Afrotropical Tachinidae (Diptera)

Abstract
Six new genera and 11 new species of tachinid flies are described and diagnosed from the Afrotropical Region based on pinned specimens preserved in several public institutions. Three of the new species belong to genera not previously recorded in the Afrotropical Region: the dexiines Dufouria glossa Cerretti sp. n. (Dexiinae: Dufouriini) and Trixa viridicyanea Cerretti sp. n. (Dexiinae: Dexiini), both from South Africa, and the phasiine Hemyda madecassa Cerretti sp. n. (Phasiinae: Cylindromyiini) from Madagascar. Eight additional species, distinguished by their unique combinations of character states, are assigned to six newly-established genera as follows: the exoristines Barracloughia mythimnae Cerretti gen. et sp. n. (Exoristinae: Eryciini) from South Africa, Tanzania, and Togo; Glossaethilla crosskeyi Cerretti gen. et sp. n. and G. montana Cerretti sp. n. (Exoristinae: Ethillini) from Uganda; Metamelibaea grossa Cerretti gen. et sp. n. (Exoristinae: Eryciini) from South Africa; Palepogomyia eremica Cerretti gen. et sp. n. and P. hirta Cerretti sp. n. (Exoristinae: Goniini), both from Namibia; and the tachinines Acheromintho noctivagus Cerretti gen. et sp. n. and Dolichoplesina elegantissima Cerretti gen. et sp. n. (both Tachininae: Minthoini), both from Kenya.
