Abstract
Objectives
The agricultural sector is still today, a sector with a high risk of occupational accidents and diseases. If in the last few years the number of accidents decreased, on the contrary increased occupational diseases. This is due in part because the reference standards for the safety and health of workers, which are designed for industrial and craft are applied as they are also in the forestry sector which is struggling more than others to adapt to new requirements and requirements.
The management of risk in agroforestry phenomenon, involves the introduction of specific organizational models, which comprise the steps of identification and risk assessment and subsequent monitoring and management.
Methods
The evaluation, control and risk management business, shall be accompanied by specific measures, supported by appropriate experiments, especially for those activities where the risk is not well known or is undervalued.
Building on the experience already gained, there should be an assessment of the most significant factors in the forestry sector in order to develop guidelines to address for companies that want to upgrade its plants, manufacturing layout or design new factories, dramatically from the point of view of safety and comfort of personnel.
The world of applied research is increasingly involved in offering technological and organizational solutions to meet the standards required by law, and university research is at the forefront in contributing to the experience of management models for safety in the workplace forestry.
In this context, training also can find the right combination of synergies between institutions, universities, enterprises, operators and social partners, through an innovative design and open to changes in work organization.
Results
This is a proposed solution is to design a network using state funding or not, involving national and European partners for the promotion of safety in the field of agroforestry systems in identifying health and safety, the most appropriate strategies and interventions to overcome the difficulties of workers and companies.
