Abstract
La tesi affronta il tema della questione cattolica nel Partito Comunista italiano, dal 1944 – anno della Svolta di Salerno - al 1953 – anno della morte di Stalin. Come e quanto ha influito il rapporto coi cattolici nell’elaborazione della politica comunista del dopoguerra? Che risvolti esso ha avuto nella ricostruzione dell’Italia post-bellica? Quali sono state le continuità e quali le cesure, anche alla luce della Guerra Fredda? La ricerca risponde a queste e altre domande, basilari per comprendere uno spaccato fondamentale della storia del nostro Paese.
The thesis deals with the theme of the Catholic question in the Italian Communist Party, since 1944 - the year of Svolta of Salerno - to 1953 - the year of Stalin's death. How and how much has affected the relationship with the Catholics in the elaboration of the post-war communist politics? What implications it has had in rebuilding post-war Italy? What were the continuities and ruptures which, in light of the Cold War? The research answers these and other questions, basic to understanding a fundamental part of the history of our country.
