Abstract
La mia tesi di Dottorato di Ricerca consiste nella realizzazione e sperimentazione di un Dizionario
multimediale delle Energie Rinnovabili e dell’Ambiente Sostenibile, destinato a studenti
universitari e liceali. Per la stesura del Dizionario in oggetto, la ricerca si è basata su testi e dispense
universitari, su interviste realizzate dalla sottoscritta a docenti dell’università della Tuscia e sulla
consultazione di siti internet ad hoc.
Realizzato in power point, il Dizionario multimediale è un glossario che analizza in ordine
alfabetico alcune parole chiave delle problematiche energetiche e ambientali. Ogni parola chiave
viene presentata con una formula standard (p. es. “A…come Ambiente”, “F…come Fotovoltaico”,
etc.), spiegata in modo esaustivo e illustrata da immagini. Ad arricchire le informazioni vengono
inseriti dei link evidenziati in rosso e in verde: i link in rosso hanno un carattere divulgativo e
giornalistico, permettendo di soddisfare delle “curiosità” relative ai temi trattati; i link in verde
hanno un carattere scientifico e tecnico. Così strutturato, il Dizionario multimediale ha più codici di
lettura e può prevedere più destinatari.
Parte integrante della tesi di Dottorato di Ricerca sono i cortometraggi sull’Ambiente e sulle
Energie Rinnovabili, realizzati durante la mia attività didattica in questo triennio e di cui vengono
indicati i siti internet per la visione. Come da progetto, per verificare la ricaduta del Dizionario
multimediale sugli studenti, ho effettuato una sistematica sperimentazione dello stesso attraverso
attività didattiche, sia con un corso di 30 ore nel Liceo Scientifico Ruffini (2012), sia nei corsi ITS
Agroalimentare di Viterbo (2011-2012; 2012-13; 2013-14), per un totale di 172 ore. L’attività
didattica prevedeva oltre a lezioni frontali, anche la realizzazione di cortometraggi sui temi trattati.
Gli obiettivi raggiunti sono:
- Offrire un contributo alle nuove metodologie di videodidattica attraverso un format
audiovisivo di facile consultazione e destinato a una ampio target di utenti

- garantire una stretta collaborazione scientifica tra università e scuole, e tra università e ITS
Agroalimentare, per difendere i diritti della Natura e promuovere un’educazione
all’ambiente attraverso lo sviluppo sostenibile e la promozione delle energie rinnovabili
- rendere interessante e “veloce” la comunicazione, attraverso un Dizionario multimediale che
abbia più codici di lettura
- aprire un varco scientifico anche se semplificato nella “foresta” delle informazioni date dai
media, da internet e dall’enciclopedismo dei manuali;
- offrire ai docenti e agli studenti della scuola secondaria superiore degli spunti a tema per una
didattica interdisciplinare e trasversale
- superare il testocentrismo attraverso la videodidattica, che veda gli studenti non solo fruitori
ma anche autori di format audiovisivi in digitale, per una informazione e comunicazione
circolare e attiva
- verificare la ricaduta del Dizionario sugli studenti attraverso il suo utilizzo nell’ambito della
didattica.
The aim of my PhD thesis is realization and testing of a multimedia dictionary of Renewable
Energy and Sustainable Environment, aimed at college students and university students
In order to the realization of dictionary a lot researches have been made starting from university
texts and handouts and thanks to consultation of websites ad hoc. Furthermore Interviews,
conducted by me, have been done at professor of University of Tuscia.
The multimedia dictionary , realized in power point, is a glossary that analyzes a few keywords
concerning energy and environment.
Each keyword is presented with a standard formula (e.g. " B....as Biomass, E....as Envitonmet,
P.....as Photovltaic) and it is explained in detail with pictures too.
The information are increased with link highlight in red and green. The red links show the general
informations that satisfy the " curiosities" on the topics; the green links show scientific and
technical informations of the topics. So the multimedial Dictionary have a structure with different
codes of reading and it can interest many subjects
Integral part of the PhD thesis are the short films on the Environment and Renewable Energy that
have been made during my educational period in this triennium. These short films have been
loaded on websites for viewing.
The multimedial dictionary have been utilized throughout my educational jobs. In particular I have
utilized the dictionary in a course of 30 hours at second level college of science "Ruffini" (2012)
and in courses at "ITS Agroalimentare" of Viterbo (2011-2012; 2012-2013; 2013-2014) for a total
of 172 hours. Together at frontal lessons of the short films have been realized on the topics
analyzed in the dictionary.
The aims achieved are:
- offer a contribution to new methodologies of video-didactis through an audio-visual format
of easy reference and intended for a wide set of users;

- ensure a scientific collaboration between universities and schools, and between universities
and ITS Agribusiness, to defend the nature and promote sustainable development through
environmental education and the promotion of renewable energies;
- make interesting and "fast" communication, through a multimedia dictionary that has more
than one code reading;
- open a scientific way through the "forest" of the information given by the media, the
internet and the manuals;
- offer at professors and students of the secondary school ideas for interdisciplinary and
transverse theaching;
- consider the students not only as the users but also as authors of audiovisual formats in
digital, for an active information and communication
- check the fallout of the Dictionary on students through its use in teaching.
