Abstract
The global environment conditions are badly influenced by the exploitation and extreme utilization of typical energetic sources by industrialized countries and the exponential population growth. The industrialization had the atmospheric emission of polluting gases as consequence, particularly the greenhouse gases. The most important greenhouse gas is carbon dioxide (CO2); even if it is not toxic, CO2 is extremely dangerous because it is considered the main cause of global overheating and climate change. This work is based on the idea of energetically independent agro-forest farms, able to generate electric power using renewable sources as agro-forest biomass from agricultural discards. If we consider this idea applied on a large scale, we could create an agro-energetic eco-district. This concept would have potential benefits for the environment (reduction of CO2 emissions), and also for the farmers, because they could sell the electric power and receive green certificates. This wok to describe the innovative gasification process thought Multi reactor gasifier. Multi reactor gasifier.patent has been filed to the Italian Industrial Ministry. Gasification process usually features different reactions with different properties. In common gasifiers these phases physically happens in the same environment with the same conditions, so it is impossible to optimize the process conditions for every single reaction. In multi reactor gasifier, instead, every phase happens in an environment physically separated from the others; in this way it’s possible to optimize the process condition of every phase. This means a better gas quality, total absence of tarry residues due to an incomplete reaction and the possibility of using biomasses with different composition and size without negatively affecting the quality gas prod produced. However, In the present study we describe the analysis of the manure of zoo technical discards taken from milk bovine breeding, and the chemical-physical characteristics of the manure, through gascromatography of the biogas production from anaerobic digestion in batch. In the biogas, the percentage of methane that can be converted in hydrogen through reforming and that can be to supply the MCFC, is around 60 %. The hydrogen production from anaerobic digestion is the main renewable energy sources, in this work, we describe the possible applications of the fuel cells in particularly the Molten carbonate fuel cells.
