Abstract
Recent advancements in technological development are increasingly generating changes in organizational activities, affecting also the decision-making processes. The employment of AI is significantly reshaping decision-making by providing advanced data analytics, predictive modeling, and real-time insights, highlighting its crucial role in organizational strategies. The present study aims to investigate the relationship between AI and decision-making by reviewing the literature from 1971 to 2023 through a bibliometric analysis comprising 799 articles from the Scopus database. We conducted a co-word analysis to discover key topics and concepts inside the documents of our dataset. The results show an increasing interest in scientific literature exploring the role of AI in decision-making, highlighting its significance in healthcare, HR management, and education, among other fields. Beyond the comprehensive overview outlining the most significant topics of such a discourse, this work provides the groundwork for scholars and practitioners to further explore this field.
