Abstract
TERRE is a national project aiming at the implementation of technological innovations with defined recipes and green methodologies, optimizing the retrieval of resources used in the production cycles (agroforestry waste), and focusing on the protection of the soil, on the reduction of costs and of energy consumption, limiting the use of new resources and reducing CO2 emissions, and defining environmental impact indicators. The project combines agricultural products by electrospinning acting as nanobio-stimulants of plant growth, with likewise new nanostructured sensors designed ad-hoc, designed to keep the competitiveness of crops and farms, while improving the protection of natural resources and preserving the soil ecosystem. The project activities are dedicated to extract and recombine compounds into multifunctional smart devices arranged according to a plethora of nanostructured architectures (like gauze, fabrics, nets, pots, sheets, etc.) for agriculture.
