Abstract
The chapter illustrates the main results of the CLIMA project with respect to the monitoring and assessment of soil erosion, which can well exemplify the mutual impact of climate change and anthropic pressures on buried archaeological heritage. Through the example of the procedure adopted, it will also highlight the importance of carrying on research in this field and how, in this sense, cooperation with public authorities might be fruitful both for knowledge and for the actual protection of archaeological heritage.
