Abstract
The knowledge of the resources and the variations of these plays a fundamental role in the planning of a sustainable development. The project Corine Land Cover, manages to offer the quantitative data of input in order to evaluate in decisive setting the strategies leading to the best employment of the European resources.
The target of this work is the analysis of the dynamism of the Land Cover/Land Use in the years between 1980-2000. Starting from a cartography to hoc, elaborate on the dimensional standards and nomenclatures CLC, on the basis of the obtained images from satellite in the 1980s, a series of quantitative and structural examinations have been made.
For the quantitative evaluation of the class transitions of the Land Cover/Land Use and the related proximate causes a series of methodologies already tested on European level (Land Ecosystem Account and Land Cover Flows) was employed while an innovative morphological procedure for the maps related to the land use was utilised in order to evaluate the structural classes; This analysis has been preparatory for the study of the fragmentation processes of the so called core areas, important because it is considered of chief significance for the conservation of the biodiversity both vegetal and animal.
