Abstract
Il Principe ermafrodito is a metaphorical novel by Ferrante Pallavicino, writer sentenced to death because of its natural-libertine ideas. Published in 1640, the work offers insights into the nature of politics. The language used by the author is characterized by an extensive use of methaphors and rhetorical devices, typical expression of the baroque style.
