Dino De Sanctis is Researcher of Classical Philology at “Università degli Studi della Tuscia” in Viterbo (DISUCOM). He specialized in Herculaneum papyrology at C.I.S.S.P.E. (Naples) since 2004. From 2014 to 2017 he was a research fellow in the FIR project “Per un lessico digitale del comico” at the University of Pisa. His research mainly concentrates on Archaic epic, Herculaneum papyrology and Hellenistic production. He published many articles in journals like “Studi Classici e Orientali”, “Athenaeum”, “Cronache Ercolanesi”, “Prometheus”, and with Emidio Spinelli, Mauro Tulli, and Francesco Verde he edited the Volume “Questioni epicuree” (Sankt Augustin: Academia Verlag 2015). His monograph, Il canto e la tela. Le voci di Elena in Omero (Pisa-Roma: Serra 2018), proposes an analysis about the character as a narrator in Homer. In this period Dino De Sanctis is planning a new edition - with a commentary - of Philodemus’s “Academicorum Historia” (PHerc. 1021/ PHerc. 164).
