Biography
Associate Professor of Organization Theory at the DEIm department, University of Tuscia, Viterbo (Italy). Alessio Maria Braccini teaches Business Organization (bachelor course) and Management of Information Systems (master course). He holds a PhD in Management of Information Systems from the LUISS Guido Carli University. He has been a visiting research fellow at the University of Liechtenstein (FL), and the University of Agder (NO).
His main research interest concerns the study of the affordances/hindrances of ICT/IS on organizations and on the cooperation dynamics of individuals and teams. To this regard he investigated the impact of digital technologies on organizational business processes, on the sustainability of smart manufacturing, and on the cooperation dynamics in collective action in online communities.
His research was published in journals such as the Information Systems Journal (ISJ), the Information & Organisation Journal (I&O), the International Journal of Accounting Information Systems (IJAIS), and the Government Information Quarterly journal (GIQ). He presented research papers in national and international conferences amongst which the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), the European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS9, the Annual Workshop of Italian Scholars of Organization Studies (WOA), and the annual conference of the Italian Chapter of AIS (itAIS).
