| Abstract: | In 2007 started the Atlas Project of breeding birds of Lake Vico Natural Reserve, ZPS IT6010057 (Latium, Italy). The preliminary results on birds of prey (2007-2008) are presented. The study area was divided in a 1x1 km UTM grid (42 Research Units). We used the method of EOAC (European Ornithological Atlas Committee) for collecting data. Eight breeding species have been recorded: Buteo buteo, Accipiter nisus, Pernis apivorus, Falco tinnunculus, Strix aluco, Asio otus, Athene noctua, Tyto alba. Estimates on local population abundance and habitat preferences of the species are also given.
