Abstract

Abstract This study is focused on some the main important fields of the Comparative Literature such as Translation Studies and Travel Literature and it investigates the search of personal and cultural identity proposing different literary case studies. The study is divided into three sections: 1st section –Translation Studies; 2nd Travel Literature of the 20th century; 3rd section – Studies about the research and construction of identity. The case studies proposed by the book are inherent to Italian and foreigner authors of the 20th century - Federico Garcìa Lorca, Khaled Hosseini, Emilio Cecchi, Benjamin Crémieux, Arnaldo Cipolla, Kazuo Ishiguro, Ester Lombardo, Rolando Hinojosa Smith, – and literary works published at the dawn of the Third Millennium.
