Title: Il fondo Giovanni Vignoli a Pitigliano: storia e digitalizzazione dell'archivio privato di un custode della Biblioteca Vaticana Authors: Rubino, Marta; Alfano, Gaetano Abstract: Thanks to a convention between the Dipartimento di storia e culture del testo e del documento (Università degli studi della Tuscia-Viterbo), and the Dipartimento delle politiche formative e dei beni culturali of the Tuscany Region, the authors got in contact with the almost unknown character of Giovanni Vignoli, Maremma ecclesiastic, librarian of the Vatican Library (18. century). The purpose of this text is to talk about the presence of special stocks in minor residences and small centres, and to present the history of Vignoli’s pieces of paper kept in Pitigliano, with a special interest for the phases and digitalization methodologies put into practice to value and to preserve the same papers.
